Sure if you hang a brick on my Ethernet cable you will have the securest OS in the world too.
The point is that only SSH is enabled in the default setting. The one Security hole in 7 years was an SSH Bug. There are still bugs in other parts of the OS.

There are no other daemons running, so there can`t be bugs.
But OpenBSD is still my favourite OS, because it`s rock stable.
I don`t know a better OS for Servers. And with a bit of tweaking and without exotic hardware it`s a quite good desktop OS.

But I'm a little confused.. I've run ŽLinux slackware before, and when I recompiled the kernel there, I did it in /usr/src/linux-xxx
But in OpenBSD the /usr/src dir is empty!

I am having a following problem. Trying to run PXE boot server on my OpenBSD machine I have ended up on making NFSd daemon works. On all machines I get an error msg. nfsd : nfsd count is invalid: (null) no matter what computer I run it on. Everything works just well on FreeBSD and linux.... (1 Reply)

The et driver supports PCI Express Ethernet adapters based on the Agere/LSI ET1310/ET1301 integrated MAC/PHY.
The following media types are supported:
autoselect Enable autoselection of the media type and options.
10baseT Set 10Mbps operation.
100baseTX Set 100Mbps (Fast Ethernet) operation.
1000baseT Set 1000Mbps (Gigabit Ethernet) operation (ET1310 only).
