It would have been interesting to know in which state the device was: AIX devices can be in state "Defined", which means their configuration information is in the ODM but the device itself is either removed or not working, or "Available", which means the device is configured like in "Defined" but also there.
If you delete the ODM information of a device which is only defined (this is what
rmdev ultimately does) you won't get it back from running
cfgmgr, obviously.
Show the output of the command
lsdev -Cc adapter command to see what you really have at your system.

Hi
In the vio server when I do # lsattr -El hdisk*, I get a PVID. The same PVID is also seen when I put the lspv command on the vio client partition. This way Im able to confirm the lun using the PVID.
Similarly how does the vio client partition gets the virtual ethernet scsi client adapter... (1 Reply)

In a nutshell, I have a server application that logs attached instrument data over USB and Ethernet. My restriction here is having two wires or more to plug all instrumentation in - at least one for USB and at least one for ethernet.

DESCRIPTION
This utility is used to manage Bluetooth devices. You can list added devices, connect to a new device, disconnect device, remove added

Specify adapter to use by his Name or MAC address
(if this option does not defined - default adapter used)

DEVICE PROPERTIES

The Bluetooth device address (MAC) of the remote device.

The Bluetooth class of device of the remote device.
