DESCRIPTION
The wdc driver provides the interface with the hardware for the ata(4) driver. This driver supports IDE and EIDE controllers, as well as MFM,
RLL and ESDI on the ISA bus. PCI IDE controllers in legacy mode are also supported, but the pciide(4) driver may provide more functionality.
On the ISA front-end, the following flags are supported:
0x0001 Enables 32-bit I/O negotiation in the driver. This is known to cause problems with some motherboards.
0x0002 Don't probe for the second drive.
0x0004 Set WDC_CAPABILITY_ATA_NOSTREAM flag.
0x0008 Set WDC_CAPABILITY_ATAPI_NOSTREAM flag.

Over the past few weeks, I saw a couple of threads requesting recursive ftp:
Copying files between 2 Unix server

Hey,
I moved the user information in the top right on the navbar to side panel and replace it with a clickable avatar image. If you have an avatar, you will see your avatar and if you don't you will see some default one (will change it to something better later).

What is your favorite Linux distro?
and possibly why?
Personally, I have Fedora 3 on my computer. I have used Ubuntu and Slackware, too. But I think I liked Ubuntu more, maybe because of its speed and easy installation of packages. (192 Replies)
I was looking through the topics and I wasn't sure if this was the best place to post this question:
I was wondering, out of curiosity, which software everyone was using to code their scripts in. I do mostly sh/ksh and my favorite has always been EditPlus because it is small, fast, yet powerful.... (409 Replies)
