Hi All,

I am having a sun server. The primary network interface is having name "sun1" and IP address "192.168.2.10". Now when I add second network interface with different IP address "10.1.1.100" and same hostname, it doesn't work.

What I want to know is that should the second interface having different hostname like IP address or can any one tell me how to configure second network interface with different IP address...

Here is the output of /etc/inet/hosts, /etc/inet/ipnodes, /etc/nodename, /etc/hostname.hme0 and /etc/hostname.hme1 files:

Hello everybody, How can link network interface to the output of lspci -vv. Basicly i need to know who is the manufacturer of a specific interface, for example eth0 {Is it an Intel, or Broadcome, or something else}. Is there a way to find that out? Thanx (5 Replies)

SYNOPSIS

       bt-network [OPTION...]

OPTIONS

       -h, --help

       -a, --adapter <name|mac>
	   Specify adapter to use by his Name or MAC address
	   (if this option does not defined - default adapter used)

       -c, --connect <name|mac> <uuid>
	   Connect to the network device and return the network interface
	   name, uuid can be either one of "gn", "panu" or "nap"

       -s, --server <gn|panu|nap> <brige>
	   Register server for the provided UUID, every new connection to
	   this server will be added the bridge interface
