Bug Unix printing user id

running red hat linux 6.0\unix - when doing a print job - the user id and job no. are printing on the second page - how do i stop this - cannot see anything in the printcap - am i looking in the wrong place? -true noob here so bear with me - thanks for any info

Could be the "banner" setting on the printer itself?

thanks for the reply - i suppressed the header page in the printtool and that does not help - it still prints the user id and login on the second page. printcap looks like this -
:sd=/var/spoo;/lpd/lp:\
:mx=0:\
:rm=192.168.1.192: \
:rp= :\
:if=/var/spool/lpd/lp/filter: \
:sh:

I don't have your O/S to try but I suspect that you need to change the "banner" setting either permanently in the printer configuration or at runtime.
I seem to recall "lp -d printername -o nobanner" from Berkeley printcap days. Googling "nobanner" brings up numerous examples.
