I can walk you through using Norton Ghost but that is one, very easy part of this puzzle. Judging from your comments, a Kernel rebuild may be more than you're willing to take on. I don't have an SATA drive but I have rebuilt Linux Kernels for various hardware and software reasons. Options 2 and 3 don't intimidate me.

By the way, have you verified that your system won't let you change your BIOS to legacy ATA mode?

no actually i havent tried that
once again, ill need a step by steb guidence for it

The ahcisata driver supports SATA controllers compliant with the Serial ATA Advanced Host Controller Interface Revision 1.0 or 1.1 specifica- tion, and provides the interface to the hardware for the ata(4) driver. The ahcisata driver will only attach if the controller has been put in AHCI mode by the BIOS; if the controller is in pciide-compatible mode, it will be handled by the appropriate driver (piixide(4) for Intel AHCI controllers).
