Help with minicom script
I'm a fairly new user to Linux based systems and am still a little uncomfortable with using the command interface. I'm trying to get my feet wet but have unfortunately hit a wall and am actually not even sure what I am trying to accomplish is at all possible.
Basically, I am trying to use a cronjob to launch Expect to run a script through minicom on a modem in order to dial to an outside automated line and enter a call flow script in order to generate reports on a daily basis.
First off, is this even possible?
Secondly, any ideas of what a sample minicom script could be? With old technology like an analog modem I'm having a difficult time even finding information on this, or sample scripts to base my code around. Unfortunately, the minicom package I installed through YaST2 in openSUSE 12.1 did not come with any of the demo scripts that are supposed to be there, or atleast I'm not able to find where they were hidden at install.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
