Download FreeBSD 5.0 mini_install.ISO i was trying to do a post-installation , trying to install the ports but doesn't install it gives me could not find index error ?!any ideas..?? as the index file is on the cd and I checked it the file is not corrupt.!!

By following the Samba.org how-to's and various finds on groups.google.com I've succeeded in getting a FreeBSD (5.2.1-RELEASE) / Samb-3.0.0,1 server in to my MSFT 2003 Active Directory domain as a member server, but there is a little problem I'm having trouble resolving.

When updating the ports, I normally do the following:
rm -r /usr/ports
csup -L 2 -h cvsup.FreeBSD.org /usr/share/examples/cvsup/ports-supfile
This however takes rather long, about 20 mins on stock hardware. Is there a way to exclude certain ports from being updated, such as games and print? (4 Replies)

The url driver provides support for USB Ethernet adapters based on the Realtek RTL8150L USB-ether bridge chip.

DIAGNOSTICS
url%d: watchdog timeout A packet was queued for transmission and a transmit command was issued, however the device failed to acknowledge the
transmission before a timeout expired.
