How can I kill a process owned by user1? I will be using another user (user2) (not root) and we are on the same primary and secondary group. I copied everything including it's .profile and set the path accordingly.

Code:
user1@hostnmae0:/home/user1 $ pkill java
pkill: Failed to signal pid 1234: Not owner
user1@hostnmae0:/home/user1 $

kill.d DESCRIPTION

FROM source PID COMMAND source command name TO destination PID SIG destination signal ("9" for a kill -9) RESULT result of signal (-1 is for failure) DOCUMENTATION
See the DTraceToolkit for further documentation under the Docs directory. The DTraceToolkit docs may include full worked examples with ver- bose descriptions explaining the output. EXIT
