Error while running the script
hi,
When i run the code given by you it renames all files irrespective of .bak extension like
before:
student.txt
after code is run
--------------------
student.txt.bak
this is same for all other files including .bak file
i.e if a file exists with name tst.bak
after the code is run it is made as tst.bak.bak.

ls -s will give the size of Blocks.

Hi in my shell script I have to do this
1. there is a file called testing.txt in /home/report directory
If the file size is 0(zero) and date is today's date, then I have to print
"Successful" else "Failed".

I need to create inbound directory
and i need to know size of these files one by one
if file size is zero i need to print message like "empty file"

The file was decrypted with gpg command.

gvfs-rename - change the name of a file or directory using the VFS system
SYNOPSIS
gvfs-rename source-URI new-name
DESCRIPTION
gvfs-rename changes the name of a file or directory, using the virtual file system.
OPERANDS
The following operands are supported:
source-URI Specifies the source file location in standard URI format.
new-name Specifies the new name for file or directory.
