diff between TAR+zip+FTP and TAR+FTP

Huloo, whats diff between TAR+zip+FTP and TAR+FTP,can't we simpply FTP a file without Zipping it? TAR is simply for Archiving ,then why do we need to Zip it? :( (1 Reply)
