Question New home elliptical trainer? Suggestions?

My live in girlfriend and I were thinking about getting an elliptical for our home.

I was thinking of something like this:

Amazon.com: ProForm 850 Elliptical Trainer with GameFit Technology: Sports & Outdoors

Image

It has some games that you can play while you exercise on it.

Has anyone else used this? What are the games like?

Other suggestions?

Thanks.

-Eric

Take one that has a strip that will hold papers or a book, so you can study while exercising.

I actually used to read this thick book of chess puzzles when I was exercising. I made the mistake of leaving at my (company's private) gym and some other nerd stole it.

Many of the new trainers (like Technogym trainers) have large built in displays with both video and Internet access. I think these are the best.

in my honest opinion, what a waste of money. It gives you a lot of information on screen, targets to achieve and congratulations when you complete the targets giving you a sense of achievement. However the plan is flawed, best thing you can do is go running outside making sure you have uphill and down hill slopes, you work most of the muscles and give yourself a far better workout, its free, you get fresh air at the same time, you work to your body's more natural pace slowing when tired and speeding up when feeling up to it which is also far better for cardio.

working the same muscles repeatedly and not working the rest is about as useless as not doing anything and possibly even worse for you.
