UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

This issue is on RedHat 4AS, and I am pretty sure this is a very basic permission issue.
I need to give permission for everyone to move/delete the file that is created by me. How do i do that?
Here are the commands I issued:

$ id
uid=680(praveen) gid=1003(nextgen) groups=1003(nextgen) context=user_u:system_r:unconfined_t

[praveen@four54 ~]$ pwd
/home/bac3/praveen

[praveen@four54 ~]$ touch test3.txt
[praveen@four54 ~]$ chmod 777 test3.txt
[praveen@four54 ~]$ ls -ltr
-rwxrwxrwx 1 praveen nextgen 0 Jun 21 2007 test3.txt

[root@four54 praveen]# su - phred
[phred@four54 ~]$ cd ~praveen
[phred@four54 ~praveen]$ rm -rf test3.txt
rm: cannot remove `test3.txt': Permission denied


???Please help me.

mv requires that everyone also must have write access to the directory that text1.txt lives in.

mv requires write access to the source and to the destination directories, if mv places the file in another directory.
