Java help on deleting file/filename
i need to delete a file that, for some reasons, was
saved on this filename: -c8-26.

#ls
-c8-26
file1
file2

when i input commands such as ls *, rm, or mv, it gives
me an illegal option command.

type in the following:

rm ./-c8-26

I looked at the man page for rm and it had:
Remove a file in the current directory whose name starts with a - or * or some other character that is special to the shell:
rm ./-filename
rm \*filename


I created a file with the name -c8-26 and performed the command
rm ./-c8-26
and the command removed the file.

rm - -c8-26

or you can always quote it. rm "-c8-26"

rm ./-c8-26 worked.

rm - -c8-26 worked.

rm "-c8-26" still give me an illegal option message.

by the way, i'm on a SunOS environment.
