hi

tried with bot single and double cotes
no error but the mail is also not delivered

I tried

echo "Please Ignore" | mailx -s "Test Mail" 'ABC.&.XYZ@aexp.com'
echo "Please Ignore" | mailx -s "Test Mail" "ABC.&.XYZ@aexp.com"

Ther ampersand is allowed
OK, it means the '&' might be legal - I don't see it (&) being restricted being a part of an email address in the RFC822.

If that's the case, it means that your MTA (MailTransportAgent) [like sendmail or some such) or your local UNIX machine cannot handle this type an email address....

Others maybe able to help you there - I'm not that good with the sendmail config.

Actually i cant share you the exact email id as this is our official id
and might cause issue... Smilie
