Yeah right, it works, actually I was assuming a space btw * and /, therefor it failed here in first attempt. Sorry for not trying it without a space, as well as, OP seems to be of quite beginner level, I thought to post a new script because he was surely going to be confused of typing error by you for the variable name(str&m).

You are asking the same question again & again, it would be better for you to get understanding of whats going on, read the explanation which I have sent in my earlier post you'll find there how to extract last field based on a delimeter as well as for your last post it would be better to start a new thread, because it is not relevant to this topic. Start thread in Dummies & beginners forum not in advanced level forum.

NAME

       load_sample - Loads a sample from a file. Allegro game programming library.

SYNOPSIS

       #include <allegro.h>

       SAMPLE *load_sample(const char *filename);

DESCRIPTION

       Loads  a  sample from a file, supporting both mono and stereo WAV and mono VOC files, in 8 or 16-bit formats, as well as formats handled by
       functions registered using register_sample_file_type(). Example:

	  SAMPLE *sample = load_sample(user_input);
	  if (!sample)
	     abort_on_error("Couldn't load sample!");

RETURN VALUE

       Returns a pointer to the SAMPLE or NULL on error. Remember to free this sample later to avoid memory leaks.
