It depends.

It will depend on how many customers you want to support. How many simultaneous sessions you need to support. What SLAs you will have with your customers. How much disk space is needed. How will you back up the system? What are you DR plans? What is your budget. How much time and money do you want to spend maintaining hardware? And air-conditioning?

So it depends.

At this point, I'd get my feet wet with your V100 and find out if this is something you want to do. And then decide. Besides, the way technology advances, by the time you decide to purchase a server, my advice to you today will be way out of date.

It certainly can. I'm even running Solaris 11 Express on a V100. They key point would be RAM. 1 GB would be a very minimum (I have 4 GB installed). Do not expect stellar performance with that box Smilie
