Servers and about them?

I want to learn about servers . I configured 3 virtual machines (Solaris , Linux and Windows) .

I think this could be some kind of exchange of knowledge , and of course this could be a some kind of classroom for noobies Smilie!

Ok now to the work !

My question is : what a server should support : is that domain , proxy , DNS , samba , ....

Servers support all of those you mentioned and more. I think you can google more for it rather than a posting here. A technical concern is much welcomed Smilie

I thought this topic will technical stock exchange

First problem I have is : On my virtual network I have Windows , Linux and Solaris 10 . But problem is that all three OS-es has SAME IP Smilie and they work normally ! As I know this is impossible !

For virtualization I use Virtual box on Ubuntu

How do you say that its impossible? I have an Ultra 45 running Solaris 10 connecting to my LAN. I installed virtualbox on it. beneath, there are Opensolaris, Redhat Linux Ent 5, Ubuntu and Windows XP running. All of them use same IP and I can use the internet, for eg, (not using proxy, but a static IP).

Aha these machines are standalone , but when I put them in LAN they must have unique IP Smilie
