GNU grep:

grep -Eo '[0-9]+' filename

GNU Awk:

awk '$1=$1'  RS="[^0-9]" filename

awk (nawk or xpg awk on Solaris):

awk '{gsub(/[^0-9]/,"")}$1=$1'  RS=">" filename
