You are not testing the existence of a file $i, but whether $i is a file with length zero.

For testing, whether $i is a plain file, use -f instead of ! -s

Please look at rajrishi990's code above more closely. The loop variable i is not referenced at all inside the loop. One file specified by the first command line argument (if there was one) is checked 5 times. And, of course, if there was no command line argument given to this script, it will run tokesn.ksh five times as quickly as it can no matter what tokesn.ksh does.
You might have noted that in post #6 in this thread, I asked:
