need help regarding awk script
Hi,
I have a file of key=value pairs,My requirement is to delete, modify in-place or append key-value pairs at will using awk(I can't use sed due to some policies). I searched in google and found following piece of code BUT I don't know how to run.when I run it's always appending one line with keytoappend=value

Could you please help regarding the below script

Could you post sample of input and desire output

Hi,
case 1:
i/p --- <awk script> add key=var
o/p --- key=var should be appended to the config.file
case 2:
i/p --- <awk script> mod key=var
o/p --- key=var should me modified in the config.value
case 3:
i/p --- <awk script> del key
o/p --- key=var should be deleted from the config.file
