How to read task_struct process structure of Linux

Hi,

I want to read the task_struct structure in Linux in order to get the names & pids of all processes.

How can this be done??

The /proc directory has a kernel-maintained directory for each user - the name of the directory is the pid of the process.

Each process has its own task_struct. /proc is much easier because you don't have to write kernel-mode code.

What are you trying to do?

I want to read process related information for a specific process, i.e the start time of process, name, pid.

i had found for_each_task() macro on Linux, but the code did not compile with thatSmilie do i need to include any specific file?
