NAME
sleep - suspend execution for an interval
SYNOPSIS
subroutine sleep (itime)
DESCRIPTION
Sleep causes the calling process to be suspended for itime seconds. The actual time can be up to 1 second less than itime due to granular- ity in system timekeeping.
