Am wanting to learn and understand TCP/IP and networking.
Have an idea of connecting one WinXP Pro box to a newly built RedHat 8.0 box, plus two DEC 3000-M800 Alpha servers running Compaq Tru64 Unix (Ver 4.0F).
Any suitable online or offline references would be greatly appreciated.

A plethora of books exist on the subject and that might be a good place to start out to explain the basics of hardware, ethernet and the TCP/IP protocol.
How much previous experience do you currently have?
I have problem with oracle solaris 10 running on oracle sparc T4-2 server.

Hi new user to UNIX and I am in the process of networking my UNIX box to my windows2000....Is there a special program I have to install so that my windows would recognize and see the Unix box....any suggestions would be great

I've installed Mandrake 8.1 over the weekend as has someone else in my apartment house. We share a LAN between the apartment with three computers.
