hello

i would like to write a script to generate some files in a directory
I have written it :

cd test
while :
X = 0
do
> $X
X=`expr $X '+' 1`
done


So this script must create files 1,2,3,4,5,6,..........and go on if i don't press CRTL+C
but it create one file, 0 and it's all !!!!!!! :P
I think that the problem is with the expr expression but i don't understand why ?
where is the problem ?
