it shoudln't matter wether you have KDE or GNOME installed as long as you have the libraries for whatever toolkit you use (the most common being QT and GTK+).

I personally prefer QT and the QTDesigner IDE

I am looking for and IDE or at least a compiler that can handle calls from ADA to C++, including classes and whatnot. I am talking about the AIX platform (RS6000). shift hard disk from primary IDE channel to secondary IDE channal

Wellcomes All, some times ago I 've installed a Debian ditribution on an Hard Disk who was set as Primary Master. Few days ago, I 've decided to install another Hard Disk with a different Operating System. When I did that, I turned off the old hard disk, and I mouted the new one on the Primary IDE... (1 Reply)

Application crashes in FreeBSD 7.1 while working ok in FreeBSD 6.3

Hello there, My mulithreaded application (which is too large to represent the source code here) is crashing after installing FreeBSD 7.1-RELEASE/amd64. It worked properly on others machines (Dual Cores with 4GB of RAM - FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE/i386). The current machine has 2x Core 2 Duo... (1 Reply)

Hi, I'm using command line for editing(vi), building(make), debugging(gdb) applications written in C++ . To which IDE it is easyest/fastest to move such command-line project. Seems that SlickEdit requires to do mass of settings to create its own project. (6 Replies)

xhotswap - Motif utility for registering and unregistering hotswappable IDE hardware SYNOPSIS
xhotswap [-TOOLKITOPTION]... [--ide-controller N] [--hotswap-path PATH] [-h | --help] [-V | --version] DESCRIPTION
xhotswap is a Motif frontend for the hotswap(1) program. It allows you to interactively register and unregister hotswappable IDE devices, for example notebook computer modules, with the Linux kernel. OPTIONS
xhotswap accepts all of the standard X Toolkit command line options. Additionally, the following flags are recognized: --ide-controller N Use IDE controller N. --hotswap-path PATH Look for the hotswap executable at PATH. -h, --help Print a brief help text and exit successfully. -V ,--version Print version information and exit successfully.
