Edit an ISO / dd file?

When you say 'pull out entire files' .. that is a different problem than 'pulling out bits'....
I use binary editors to change only small things like works and phrases, or correct a bad pointer.
However, there are folks who can do things with binary editors that would make the greatest techie green with envy. I used to work with one guy who could change compiled machine code with a binary editor and alter programs because he did not like how the compiler was working (not me!) or simply because recompiling took too long.
If your goals are to change out files, then of course, a binary editor is too difficult. That was not the question in your original post

Am creating ISO file for same directory two times and both has different md5sum, Why does it so ?!
Am pretty sure that, there is no change in that directory between the ISO creations, So what could be issue ? Or is there any misunderstanding in the process.

Is there any command in Linux available to edit the ISO file's volume id ?
I know while creating an ISO we can give the volume id using -V option as
mkisofs -V "Your Disk Title" -o image.iso FILES

The commands listed in the SYNOPSIS can operate on different types of file systems. Each command (except for reads file system specific configuration files that control the command's behavior, and invokes a file system specific binary file to do the actual work. FStype is the file system type as optionally specified on the command line. If FStype is not given, then the file system type is determined from by matching an entry in this file with a device provided with the command (see individual commands for details of usage). Administrators may also define a default file system type for the above commands via the file If this file exists, and contains the line: (e.g., then the above commands will assume the FStype given in unless an FStype is provided on the command line or is in The default file system specification is provided to maintain compatibility with pre-10.0 invocations of the commands. The configuration files are supplied by HP or by other file system vendors. They are not meant to be edited by System Administrators.
