Hi,

Her is a quick and dirty one, amend as required.

Code:
if [ -f "filename" ]; then
                 printf "\n File Present \n\n"
            else
                 printf "\n File Not Present $ERROR \n\n"
            fi

In the code above, you will probably have to change the printf statement for an echo -e statement.

I want to write a script to see if various files exist. What I want to do is have the script search in various directories if a file exist, and if not, then output something like "/path/file does not exist".
