Below is another example of what I am looking for :
Can you all please help ?

sample file.txt

Line,count,symbol
1,3,A
2,4,B
3,5,C
4,1,D
5,2,E
6,6,F
7,7,G
8,8,H

Expected result:
Group records based on the cumulative sum of second column "count" ,
such that the records fall under the same group till the cumulative sum of the coulmn "count" exceeds 12.
Once the cumulative sum exceeds , the loop should restart . for eg below , the first three records fall under group '1'
as their cumulative sum is 12.Similarily the records from 4 to 6 falls under group '2' as the cumulative sum (1+2+6)=9 which is less than 12.Similarily , the records 7 and 8 will be in groups 3 and 4 respectively

Hi Im running this script, which is supposed to find the max value build some tables and then stop running once all the tables are built.        sum - calculate a sum(1) compatible checksum

SYNOPSIS

       package require Tcl 8.2

       package require sum ?1.0?

       ::crc::sum ?-format format? message

       ::crc::sum ?-format format? -filename file

DESCRIPTION

       This  package  provides	a Tcl-only implementation of the sum(1) command which calculates a 16 bit checksum value from the input data.  The
       BSD sum algorithm is used by default but the SysV algorithm is also available.

COMMANDS

       ::crc::sum ?-format format? message

       ::crc::sum ?-format format? -filename file
	      The command takes string data or a file name and returns a checksum value calculated using the sum(1) algorithm. The result is  for-
	      matted using the format(n) specifier provided or as an unsigned integer (%u) by default.

OPTIONS

       -filename name
	      Return a checksum for the file contents instead of for parameter data.

       -format string
	      Return the checksum using an alternative format template.

EXAMPLES

       % crc::sum "Hello, World!"
       37287

       % crc::sum -format 0x%X "Hello, World!"
