Solairs 11 Hyper V

Hola,

First time i'm doing this so apologies if i ask something daft. I've a host windows 2008R2 server which is running hyper-v. I have created a virtual machine and installed Solaris 11.

I'm trying to configure the network settings so that I can access the internet and run 'pkg install solaris-desktop'. the document i am using for this is the one provided by Oracle:
How to Get Started Configuring Your Network in Oracle Solaris 11

https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23824_01...456/glhbr.html

From what I've read you assign an address to a physical network connection as you would do in windows. I've created a windows VM and checked that my virtual network switch is operational.

when i run 'dladm show-phys' I'm not presented with any physical connections to assign a network address to.

Has anyone installed and configured this on a Hyper-V environment or can anyone point me in the right direction?

thanks Smilie

I've found that adding a legacy network adapter in hyper-v solves the problem
