Multi-bit ECC Error on X4100 M2 Server Sun Fire
I have a problem,
I have been installing Redhat Interprise Linux on X4100 M2 Server, when system is reboot after install, the server is restart (reboot) again (alias unlimited).
The bios system show message error "Multi-bit ECC Error" and "bank interleave requested but not enable"
I have been doing experiment and I don't know why this happen.
X4100 M2 Server only suitable with memory DDR2
I put the memory (1 GB x 4, DDR2) on A1 B1 slots on the right and left (CPU 0 and 1), and appear in BIOS.
the system restart again..again, then it can't enter the system of Redhat.
then I move memory and put them in A1 B1 A0 B0 just on the CPU 0, the system restart again has stop and entering the system of Redhat
I don't know why
? before this day, memory set on A1 B1 slot and the system don't have problem like this.
I need reason, please

I have a sun fire v240 server.
The output of prtdiag -v shows a failed fan.
There are 3 fans for cooling system board.
There is 1 fan for each of the powersupply (There are 2 powersupplies)

When I try to install Solaris 8 10/00 OS via the Solaris 8 Installation Disk on our Sun Fire V490 Server using the command , I get:

reboot - reboot the system immediately SYNOPSIS
reboot [-f] DESCRIPTION
Reboot can be used to reboot the system after installing a new kernel. It does not inform the users, but does log it's actions in /usr/adm/wtmp and /usr/adm/authlog. The system is then rebooted with the reboot(2) systemcall. If the -f flag is not given then all processes are sent terminate signals to give them a chance to die peacefully before the reboot() call. If the wtmp file exists, reboot logs itself as if it were a shutdown. This is done to prevent last(1) from talking about system-crashes. Reboot is registered as is in the authlog file. Reboot can only be executed by the super-user. Any other caller will be refused, either by reboot(8) or by reboot(2). SEE ALSO
