I want to move /usr/lib on a seperate partition.
( is is now all at / )
I know how to copy data and update fstab but...
At boot time, the mepis distro already needs stuff from /usr/lib but it is not mounted yet. So i get error before /usr/lib is mounted.

pls my server that is running UnixOs solaris is not working properly. it use to display the following errors:
INIT:Command is respawning too rapidly. check for possible errors.
id: sc "/usr/lib/saf/sac -t 300"
what am i suppose to do to correct this problem?

My whatis file is missing from my /usr/share/lib directory. I know I can recreate it by using catman -w command.
My question is, why do all of my other servers have it and this one doesn't. Maybe due to a recent move of old to new servers and it just wasn't copied over. Unlikely, 'cause all... (0 Replies)

I'm not sure if this is the default behavior for the ld command, but it does not seem to be looking in /usr/local/lib for shared libraries.
I was trying to compile the latest version of Kanatest from svn. The autorgen.sh script seems to exit without too much trouble:

httppower - communicate with HTTP based power distribution units
SYNOPSIS
httppower [--url URL]
DESCRIPTION
httppower is a helper program for powerman which enables it to communicate with HTTP based power distribution units. It is run interac-
tively by the powerman daemon.
OPTIONS
-u, --url URL
Set the base URL.
INTERACTIVE COMMANDS
The following commands are accepted at the httppower> prompt:
auth user:pass
Authenticate to the base URL with specified user and password, using ``basic'' HTTP authentication which sends the user and password
over the network in plain text.
seturl URL
Set the base URL. Overrides the command line option.
get [URL-suffix]
Send an HTTP GET to the base URL with the optional URL-suffix appended.
post [URL-suffix] key=val[&key=val]...
Send an HTTP POST to the base URL with the optional URL-suffix appended, and key-value pairs as argument.
