if not okay, possible to kill the rest and make only one daemon running?

I need to start a service among the last on a freshly booted system. Via the manifest, I've made it dependent on very milestone on the computer yet the service still comes back with an error that a kstat variable in the kernel does not exist.

SYNOPSIS

DESCRIPTION
The _tolower() macro is equivalent to tolower(3C) except that the argument c must be an upper-case letter.
RETURN VALUES
On successful completion, _tolower() returns the lower-case letter corresponding to the argument passed.
