In delta mode the result printed by Date::Calc is right.

That is; from a source:
Code:
The delta vector is calculated by simply taking the difference in years, the difference in months and the difference in days.

If you wanted the difference in date format, then you might use Date::Manip.

Code:
use Date::Manip;

$start_date = "01/31/2010";
$end_date =  "02/01/2010";

$date1 = ParseDate($start_date);
$date2 = ParseDate($end_date);
$diff = DateCalc($date1, $date2);

print "$diff";

Output is:
Code:
+0:0:0:1:0:0:0

in the format:
Code:
YY:MM:WK:DD:HH:MM:SS
