hello,
Go to hmc or websm and check the profile for information. You can see where the disks, networks coming from from the profile of an MPAR.
Follow this.. (I am using an HMC 7 here)
- Select an MPAR profiile for which you need info
- Click "Configuratin" -> "Manage Profile" -> Check the box for require profile -> From "action" click on "edit" to edit the profile
- Click on Virtual Adapters tab
- See the column "Connecting Partition"
= they are the servers (VIOS) from where you are getting your disks, networks etc.

I am planning carving out dual VIO servers on a P750 based and would like to know how to allocate internal disks to the VIOS. This has 4 internal disks and I would to assign 2 disks to each VIO.
This is what I was thinking of assigning . Any advise?

I have same lun (hdisk3) assigned to 2 vios server (dual vio server) and this is mapped to the client lpar. I have sddpcm on the VIO.
On the VIOA, the attributes for fscsi1 and fscsi3 are set to fast_fail and dyntrk is set to yes

Hi
In the vio server when I do # lsattr -El hdisk*, I get a PVID. The same PVID is also seen when I put the lspv command on the vio client partition. This way Im able to confirm the lun using the PVID.
Similarly how does the vio client partition gets the virtual ethernet scsi client adapter... (1 Reply)

SYNOPSIS
wicd-cli [options]
DESCRIPTION
This manual page documents briefly the wicd-cli command.
wicd-cli is a scriptable command-line only "client" for wicd.
OPTIONS
-h, --help
Show summary of options.
-n network-id, --network=network-id
Specify which network wicd-cli should act on.
-p property, --network-property=property
Show property from network details.
-s value, --set-to=value
Set selected property to value
-m name, --name=name
Set the name for the profile to load/save to name.
-S, --scan
Scan available wireless networks.
-w, --save
Save the network connection profile.
-l, --list-networks
