If these are FC devices I'd recommend to rmdev -dl all (!) of the existing FC entries down to the physical FC adapter (slot) and run cfgmgr afterwards. Cfgmgr is not good in updating existing and/or changed FC devices. A clean and new run of cfgmgr in most cases works better. Search this forum for my posts explaining how to identify parent devices.

Non rootvg VG information depends on hdisk's PV ids and will not be influenced by hdisks changing positions. The tapes won't bother at all so give it a try.

sys_attrs_eisa - eisa subsystem attributes DESCRIPTION
This reference page lists and describes attributes for the EISA Bus (eisa) kernel subsystem. Refer to the sys_attrs(5) reference page for an introduction to the topic of kernel subsystem attributes. For this subsytem, users should modify only the following attribute and do so only for the purpose described. Any other visible attributes cannot or should not be modified. Enables (1) or disables (0) console messages that are used by driver developers to collect information about a configuration prob- lem.
