Lol, I think he already said he's not getting any error messages, and that the problem is that it's rebooting by itself, and he doesn't get a log in screen.

But Ravinder, you do still need to say what is the output of your console. What do you see on the screen during the whole process?

sbk suggested to try to boot from the dvd- did you try that?

The plymouthd daemon is usually run out of the initrd. It does the heavy lifting of the plymouth system, logging the session and showing the splash screen. The plymouth is used to send commands to plymouthd that control its behaviour. OPTIONS
