Sorry for not being so specific.
Here's more info:
Dual-boot XP and Solaris10 (different partitions)
Dell Latitude 620
Also, during installation I was forced to use
Solaris Interactive Text (Console session)
even if I responded within 30 seconds.
I installed it 3 times on the same partition, same text console session, same result. Stuck when it tries to load GUI.
I tried Fedora on the same partition and everything went well.
What do you think? Thanks in advance.

Where (a,b) indicates that a is connected to b. I want to get all connected nodes to one point. For instance, the output of the above
example should be something like:

I want to search for the line with the group name and add the user into the group. The file format is the same as /etc/group
The code i wrote is
egrep "^$newGID" $group >/dev/null
FS=":"
oldData=awk -F: '{print $3}'
newData= "$oldData,$newUser"
sed -n $4/$newData $group

I've written a shell script to create id in oracle database. However in some db the script just hanging.
How can I say to the script "If you are hanging for more than 3 min" then kindly come out and continue in next id creation.

install-solaris invokes the Solaris Install program. Depending on graphical capability and available memory at the time of invocation,
install-solaris invokes either a text-based installer or a graphical installer.
The following minimum requirements for physical memory dictate which features are available during installation:
For SPARC machines:
128 MB
Minimum physical memory for all installation types
