They are connected via Fibre channel cables..

hello, i have a dell Poweredge 2950 ( Server ) and an IBM storage device DS 3000 family ( Storage ) . I am supposed to link the IBM storage device to the Dell Poweredge via "Emulex 4Gb Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter". I have put the addapter card in my server and connected it to the storage.... HBA performance

Hope I'm in the right place. I'm in the process of zoning HBA's to my new library environment. Is there a "rule of thumb" for the number of physical tape drives that you zone to an HBA? Offline HBA.

Hi all, I managed to get WWN port number & node from trying on luxadm -e port luxadm -e dump_map <device> I wanted to ask how can i get additional information such as company name, size etc of the HBA? Is it possible to get it through command? Thanks. (3 Replies)

Hello, In Solaris 10 I can use fcinfo to find what speed the hba ports are running at, am I able to find this out using Solaris 9? I have tried a few variations on luxadm but cant find anything relevant. Thanks. (1 Reply)

scsimgr_fcd - Fibre Channel interface driver fcd plug-in for scsimgr DESCRIPTION
The Fibre Channel interface driver plug-in for implements management operations specific to fibre channel HBA controllers bound to driver is the native HP-UX Fibre Channel interface driver that manages fibre channel devices. The plug-in handles the following operations for driver o Get, set and save per driver instance attributes. Commands The user can explicitly send the following commands to the driver plug-in by specifying the instance#> HBA controller hardware path> instance#> option: Displays information on attributes. Saves value of attributes in a persistent store. Sets values of attributes. Refer to scsimgr(1M) for the syntax of these commands. automatically invokes the plug-in to perform the driver specific part of the operation when the operation applies to per driver instances. Attributes The following table lists driver specific attributes. For details on the concept of attributes refer to scsimgr(1M).
