Sounds like time to open a service call with IBM.

I searched here:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infoce...v5r3/index.jsp

but couldn't find much on that error code. Just a couple trouble tickets in their database. The solution to those was updating code, but it didn't say exactly what code they had to update. There was nothing for that error code in their message center or Diagnostic Information for Mulitple Bus Systems manual.

parolrad - online activation or deactivation of a cell from nPartition; cancel online cell operation; monitor online cell operation; reset hung cell during cell activation SYNOPSIS
username DESCRIPTION
The command performs several cell online functions such as cell online activation and deactivation, canceling online activations or moni- toring an online cell operation, and resetting a cell that is hung during cell online activations. The target partition is the local par- tition by default. When an online operation is initiated, a sequence number is returned and displayed on standard output. The online operation can be affected by the state of the target complex's nPartition Configuration Privilege. A complex can be configured at the service processor's Command menu. If the nPartition Configuration Privilege is unrestricted (the default), all operations are allowed. If it is not unrestricted and this command is invoked to reset a cell that is hung in a non-local partition, the command will fail. Refer to the for a description of the partition management terms used in this manpage. Options and Arguments recognizes the following command line options and arguments: Online activation of a cell in the target partition. The specified target cell should be assigned to the target partition. The flag of the cell should be set to The system firmware on the target cell needs to support online cell operations. The underlying operating system in the target nPar- tition also needs to support online cell operations. The cell must be in the Boot Is Blocked (BIB) state and no other online cell operations may be in progress. The active cell's system firmware needs to support online cell operations. cell specifies the cell id. It can be specified either in the local (cabinet#/slot#) or global (cell#) format. For example, the cell located in cabinet 0, slot 1 is identified in the local format as 0/1 or in the global format as 1. Cancel an online cell operation. sequence# specifies the sequence number for canceling the online cell operation. This sequence number is returned back to the user when an online cell operation is initiated. The sequence number can also be determined by using the command. Online deactivation of a cell from the target partition. All I/O cards attached to the cell must be removed using the command. Only floating cells can be deactivated online. cell specifies cell id. It can be specified either in the local (cabinet#/slot#) or global (cell#) format. For example, the cell located in cabinet 0, slot 1 is identified in the local format as 0/1 or in the global format as 1. This option should only be used in with the option. IPaddress|hostname specifies the IP address or hostname of the target partition Monitor a currently executing online cell operation. The information displayed includes: status of the online cell operation, type of online cell operation in progress, result of online cell operation upon completion, and so on. Reset an in-flight cell which failed during an online cell operation. cell specifies cell id. It can be specified either in the local (cabinet#/slot#) or global (cell#) format. For example, the cell located in cabinet 0, slot 1 is identified in the local format as 0/1 or in the global format as 1. Specify the username for accessing a partition other than the local system. This option can also be used for loopback access to the local partition. The colon is optional and is present for Linux compatibility reasons. The option is required if this option is used. If this option is specified, the command prompts for the password. username specifies a configured user name on the target partition. Note: This command is a Web-based Enterprise Management (WBEM) Client Application. The option accesses the target parti- tion using a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connection. If errors are reported, check that the conditions described in the section are satisfied. Turn off monitoring. By default, the command monitors the status of online cell operations. Mapping of Global Cell Numbers to Local Cell Numbers The cabinets in a complex are numbered starting from 0. The cell slots in each cabinet are also numbered starting from 0. Each cabinet can have a maximum of eight cells. For example, the cells located in cabinet 0 will have the following cell numbers in global format: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. The corresponding local format cell numbers are: 0/0, 0/1, 0/2, 0/3, 0/4, 0/5, 0/6, 0/7. Similarly the cells located in cabinet 1 will have the following cell numbers in global format: 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15. The corre- sponding local format cell numbers are: 1/0, 1/1, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7. For example, the cell located in cabinet 1, slot 0 is identified in local format as 1/0 and in global format as 8. The command will dis- play this cell as "cab1,cell0". For another example, the cell located in cabinet 1, slot 4 is identified in local format as 1/4 and in global format as 12. The command will display this cell as "cab1,cell4". RETURN VALUES
The command exits with one of the following values: Successful completion. Error condition occurred. EXAMPLES
Add a new cell in cabinet 0 slot 2 to the local partition 0. Activate the added cell online. Monitor an online cell operation currently in progress. DEPENDENCIES
This command uses the Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) product and some of its configuration settings. If you encounter connection errors when using the option, check that the following two conditions are satisfied: o Use the command (see cimconfig(1M) in the WBEM product documentation) to verify (and correct, if necessary) the setting of the following two variables: o o o The target partition's digital certificate has been appended to the local partition's Shared Authentication Store. For the nPartition commands, the Shared Authentication Store is stored in the file: This file is used by all the clients, which use SSL based certificates. If these clients trust a target partition, then the nPartition commands will also trust the target partition. Refer to the WBEM documents specified in the section below for further information.
