Tape ... not ready <- This is probably a temporary state, like the tape is rewinding or something.
If your backups are working, ignore this error.

When I am trying to read any tape I getthe following message on my screen:
"stp: Error on SCSI tape=0 (ha=0 id=6 lun=0)"
Does anybody know how to solve this problem and what the message means.
I already have rebooted the server and cleaned the heads of the tape unit.

Running into an interesting problem here:
I can add the tape with "mkdev tape" the system appears to see it wwith "hwconfig -hc" however a 'tape status /dev/rStp0' says 'no device found',
checked the configuration files in 'etc' all appear to be correct.
Any suggestion appreciated

vfs_audit - record selected Samba VFS operations in the system log
SYNOPSIS
vfs objects = audit
DESCRIPTION
This VFS module is part of the samba(7) suite.
The vfs_audit VFS module records selected client operations to the system log using syslog(3).
The following Samba VFS operations are recorded:
connect
disconnect
opendir
mkdir
rmdir
open
close
rename
unlink
chmod
fchmod
chmod_acl
fchmod_acl
This module is stackable.
OPTIONS
audit:facility = FACILITY
Log messages to the named syslog(3) facility.
audit:priority = PRIORITY
Log messages with the named syslog(3) priority.
EXAMPLES
Log operations on all shares using the LOCAL1 facility and NOTICE priority:
