but the information is in percentage, is that correct?

Below is the code snippet I use on Linux (Centos) to retrieve the Process Name, PID and memory consumed on Linux (Centos) host:-

grep Slab /proc/meminfo
Output : Slab: 3106824 kB
IF I convert KB to GB, It means 2.9 GB of RAM is consumed

memory_get_usage - Returns the amount of memory allocated to PHP
SYNOPSIS
int memory_get_usage ([bool $real_usage = false])
DESCRIPTION
Returns the amount of memory, in bytes, that's currently being allocated to your PHP script.
PARAMETERS
o $real_usage
- Set this to TRUE to get the real size of memory allocated from system. If not set or FALSE only the memory used by emalloc() is
reported.
RETURN VALUES
Returns the memory amount in bytes.
