Installing XFREE86 4.2 question

Thanks for the suggestion... I'll give it another try.
I will install the base FREEBSD 4.5 first then install
XFREE86 4.2 after and see if I can configure it to
run KDE 3.0 or not. If I encounter problem...
U folksss will be the first to be bother by me

Hi folkss...
I just install Freebsd 4.5 mini disk which install only the
core FREEBSD system nothing else. I then want to install
KDE 3.0 so I install XFREE86 4.2 and I installed
both of these programs successfully with
pkg_add "filename.tgz"
I also install wrapper.tgz for "startx"... (1 Reply)

i installed FreeBSD 5.x on a box with a video card Diamond SpeedStar A90 and a Fujitsu Siemens Monitor B772-1
when i do "startx" it gives me something like this:
fatal error: no devices detected
no screen detected

Ok, this may be a simple question, but I am unable to find an answer. I am trying to install apache 2.2 on a Solaris 9 box (sparc). I downloaded it from sunfreeware, and under /usr/local/apache2/doc/apache2/INSTALL they describe the installing procedure as:

install-solaris install-solaris invokes the Solaris Install program. Depending on graphical capability and available memory at the time of invocation, install-solaris invokes either a text-based installer or a graphical installer.
