gnome-smproxy - session manager proxy
SYNOPSIS
gnome-smproxy [--sm-config-prefix [prefix]] [--sm-client-id [id]] [--debug]
DESCRIPTION
X11R5 SM compliant applications are handled by gnome-smproxy and delay their connections to gnome-session until they map their first win-
dows on the X display. They may have completed any initialization steps by then.
OPTIONS
The following options are supported:
--debug Enable debugging.
--sm-client-id [The client id.
--sm-config-prefThe[prefix]path.
EXIT STATUS
The following exit values are returned:
0 Application exited successfully
>0 Application exited with failure
FILES
The following files are used by this application:
/usr/bin/gnome-smproxy The command-line executable for the application.

I'm running Debian and doesn't really like gnome nor KDE and read about this XFce that ought to be a more simple X which is exactly what I'm looking for. So I re-installed the bare minimums of Debian and here I am, with nothing but Links/Lynx vim and apt-get (lovely isn't it?) trying to configure... (1 Reply)
Hi everyone this has been driving me nuts, i have made my own custom theme in gnome, and saved it, is it possible to save it on say a disc etc and then install it on another machine, probably asking the impossible here but thanks in advance for any help:) (2 Replies)
A gnome session is launched by UserA of System A, I am connected to userB of System B(or A) through PUTTY. I want to launch an application for eg: gedit through Putty in the display of system A. how can I achieve this.
for eg:-
root is logged in to System A, with gdm.
