collect comand usage
I would like to set up monitoring of CPU, memory and disk utilization as a cron job daily with this command, on a Tru64 machine.
I presume that it can be done similar to syslog.dated procedure, so that every day i get a file in, for example, /var/adm/collect.dated/... Specifically, i would like to do this: - run collect every 24h in a separate file - run it in a 5 or 10 minutes intervals (is there an interval that is generally used for this kind of action?) - include only CPU, memory and disk monitoring (i believe this should exclude tape and cdrom monitoring?) I didn't use this command so far, but i believe that there is a generally used command line entry for this command, but i just can't find it anywhere, so any help would be appreciated.
