Select running process
Hi!

I need select a running process by ps command, for instance:

PROMPT> ps -fu $LOGNAME | grep executable_program
executable_program -input_file file1.txt
grep executable_program

I don't want to extract also grep process. Do you know a simple solution?

Hi,

When you do the the grep executable_program you can pipe it to grep -v grep
This will stop the listing the grep command.
