Please Help me!
Hello,
I just want to know how to make all unix commands work on windows Xp. I mean unix is our subject and i don't want to install unix OS ,then how can i make unix work on Xp? my only requirements are that all unix commands(internal as well as external) commands should work and vi editor should work!thats all.
can anybody help me?

Look into Cygwin.

You can install cygwin - this runs under Windows, does not mess up windows, and provides a complete UNIX system. Also, it is free.. Download from here:

i already installed cygwin but few commands like awk are not working ?any idea what may be the problem?

'not working' as in ....?
My Cygwin's "awk" works just fine in the Cygwin window/shell.
