Hello all,

solaris 8 includes apache version 1.3 but i like
to get the version 2. do i have to do an upgrade
or clean install and in which directory to install??

when apache is installed there are any configurations settings to set up and how
to login and have access to the apache server??

The best place to get information on installing Apache is from the VERY EXCELLENT on-line documentation at:

http://httpd.apache.org/

Including, for 2.0:

http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/

... and for 1.3:

http://httpd.apache.org/docs/

Everything you need is there....... and easier to follow than answering questions in a forum.
