I just downloaded Mandrake 8.2 yesterday and plan on installing it soon. However, I've been using 7.2 for over a year now and it's fine. I've also been using 7.0, which works just fine.

You shouldn't have any problems with Linux and Windows on your network. You may want to look into a sharing program so that both computers can share files.

From my experience and the reaction from many others and reviews that I've read, Mandrake and SuSe are the most friendly, so you should be good with what you're getting. Good luck and most of all, don't get frustrated at first. It takes some time to get used to, but it will come with ease after while.

Before want use CD Rom. You must use "mount" command:

root@localhost#: muount -a /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom

Now! you can use your CD Rom
