Tar

Okay, I am trying to apply a hotfix to my machine. I need to make a backup of my /bin, /lib, and /root directory. What is the command line I need to run to create a tar file for each directory, which contains everything in each directory.

cd / && tar cvf /tmp/mybackup.tar lib root bin
